A level conveyor, equipped with a six axis robot is placed to an existing linear handling system. The conveyor consists of two tracks: one for trays containing metal inserts, the other for empty carton boxes receiving the finished parts.

The production of tiny watch components is automated by a TendMATE:S® system. Small metal shafts are inserted precisely into the mold of an injection molding machine. Previously the same operation was done manually by hand which cost much more time and also led to frequent mold damages due to improper insertion. As the TendMATE:S® came in operation, these problems were solved.

The production of watch bodies requires high cycle time due to the high demand over the world. Therefore, two robots work together in this customized system. Where one robot prepares the inserts, the other one tends the injection molding machine.
