Turning Center Tending
In this application, one robot is tending a turning machine. To achieve high flexibility for different part types, the robot is equipped with a camera in his hand to detect the raw parts in the feed-in box. Additionally, it detects empty boxes and automatically de-stacks them to continue with the next full one. |

After the robot has loaded the machine with raw parts, it immediately places the next parts in front of the machine to minimize the exchange time. This automation is running stable and process reliable since the installation in 2004 until today. |

The production of the parts runs in three steps in three different chucks. The intelligent programming of the robot assures that the status of each part is clearly known and displayed. |
