By automating the tending process of two machines with a TendMATE:L® set, this customer could drastically increase his production and lower his labour costs. Once the cell is loaded with up to 400 raw parts, the system runs autonomic for one complete shift under minimal supervision.
The robot’s gripper is customized. It combines up to five different functions, for example to hold the parts from three different sides, cleaning the clamping chuck in the machine with air nozzles and to grip an additional basket to hold the finished parts into a cleaning machine.
A simple graphical user interface makes the handling of the system very easy for the operators. Further, thanks to an additional operator training directly at the customer site, the customer is able to manage the automation cell completely by himself and is able to teach new parts.
